Yayoi Kusama Halloween
EMILY BANKSTON
Red and white tempera paint, paper lanterns, fishing line, red and white dot stickers, cardboard, Pool Noodles, white tarp.

I am So inspired by the work of Yayoi KUsama and knew I Wanted to BE an installation artist after seeing a picture of her exhibit Titled, "The Obliteration Room" when I was in college. The way she Creates interactive
worlds for the viewer to step into and experience is such a unique way to share your art. It is no surprise I became a production designer, creating worlds for characters in films, TV SHOWS AND MUSIC VIDEOS.
For this installation I used red paint and Red and white stickers for the walls. I used pool noodles, White tarp and cardboard to create the tentacle like features and paper lanterns hung with fishing line.
I Then dressed as Yayoi Kusama and threw a halloween party so my guest could interact with my exhibit.
